Bevil Knapp has been a professional photographer for 27 years.
She has won numerous awards for both her advertising and editorial work. Based in South Louisiana, some of her clients include Fortune 500 companies and a “Who’s Who” of the communications industry.
During her career, she has photographed Superbowls, Sugarbowls, presidents, governors, heads of state, Mother Teresa, Pope John Paul II, Nobel Prize winners and music legends.
She has been published in many books on art, medicine, news and current events. In 2004 she teamed with writer Mike Dunne to produce a visual document focusing on the importance of coastal Louisiana. Their book, “America’s Wetland/Louisiana’s Vanishing Coast” was published by LSU Press 2005. The book arrived one week after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.
Her second coffee table book with LSU Press, was a three year project with author Danny Heitman. “St. Francisville/ Louisiana’s Historic River Bluff Country” was published Spring 2010.
Bevil is a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists and the National Press Photographers Association.
Ellis Lucia is a New Orleans born photographer with 37 years of experience. During his 33 years working as a staff photographer for The Times-Picayune, he covered most of the major news events for this region. Ellis has photographed news and feature stories in just about every major American city in addition to stories of international significance in Cuba, Canada, South and Central America.
Ellis’ work has appeared in most major American newspapers, national magazines and many worldwide publications. Some of the events he worked on varied in subject from the Super Bowls, BCS Championships, NBA Playoffs, Final Four, NCAA Track and Field Championships, numerous title boxing matches, NYC runway fashion and Pope John Paul II visit to Cuba. He has photographed every President from Jimmy Carter to Barack Obama.
Ellis Lucia has won awards for news, sports and feature photography and for his work in food, architecture and illustration. He is a member of the Louisiana Press Association and the National Press Photographers Association.
